Okay. Now its my review!
Price: 34000.00 in Sri Lankan rupees for nokia 6 which is about $222.00 USD.
Competitors in my list: usually I am a samsung hater and also Huawei and OPPO. (so sorry for the people who are reading this to get some idea on the phones between US$200-250) My competitors were Xiaomi Redmi 5, Xiaomi Mi Max, Xiaomi Note 4X, Lenovo K6 Note.
I was using Xiaomi Redmi 3S which had 2GB Ram and 16GB internal memory with huge 4100 mAh battery which was always enough for a hard use for a day. I was using that for 8 months, which is double as my average phone moving time from one to another. I still in love with its damn battery.
WHY NOKIA 6?
First, I was in need of some change for UI and also the place where finger print scanner placed. Too useless things to consider to buy a phone right? Now, the real reasons why I selected Nokia 6.
Design: Aluminium UniBody Design with edges. (I love its design and specially its a aluminium brick. which means more durability. (See the design video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3KtGTcIoPw) and front mounted finger print scanner, camera placement, and nice silver lines in the edges.
Performance: Nokia 6 comes with Qualcomm MSM8937 Snapdragon 430 with Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 processor and Adreno 505 GPU, which are not high end, but performed well for last 12 hours in my hand. Internal 32GB storage and 3GB RAM quiet awesome and no lags upto now.
Battery: For last 12 hours, i had only 1 chance to charge the battery and it took 2-3 hours to charge from 17% to 100% while i was chatting on viber, whatsapp, messenger and going up and down in fb app.
Screen: Nokia 6 have 1080 * 1920 IPS LCD display with pixel density of 403, which is very nice and worth for the price range.
Camera: 16 MP with dual LED flash performs well in good light conditions. But in low light, it produces noice. Front camera comes with 8MP camera, which didnt give saticefied photos in low light, but okay with good light conditions.
Here are some photos taken with Primary camera with auto settings.
What do you think? Bad? Okay? Good? Great? (im pretty sure those are not great.)
OS: Nokia 6 runs with Android 7.1.1 Nougat and the interface very simple. OS runs very well on the phone and battery usage also okay. Interface almost feeling like stock rom (pure android).
Sounds: Enhanced with Dolby Atmos sounds, nokia 6 provides a good quality sounds with good loudeness.
LIKES:
The design.
Battery (performs well upto now)
Display (perfect with the price range)
OS runs well
Sounds (quality and loud)
Weight (I like phones with good weight.)
DISLIKES:
Sim tray comes with plastic and face with aluminium
Headphones (WHY NOKIA WHY? it should be in ear headphones)
NO Comments on camera. Personally disapointed with front facing camera performance in low light.
All other options works well and hope this will usefull to you before buying nokia 6.
